Armed Man Shoots And Kills Truck Driver On Thika Road

 Police are investigating murder incident that occurred at around 10PM on Thursday near Utalii College in Thika. The truck driver was shot and killed by an unknown man. The killer used a AK-47 firearm to kill the truck driver. The cause of this inhuman act has not yet been revealed.

Reports from police indicates that the driver was shot six times before he died. The killer was inside a saloon car that fled after the shooting. “He had parked the garbage truck at the Utalii tunnel and was waiting to transport litter when the incident took place,” Starehe Sub-county police boss William Sirengo said. 

The investigation reports indicate that the victim was contracted by the Kenya National Highway Authority KeNHA to collect garbage on Thika Road. Unfortunately, the man met his killer and could not return home alive.  

Cases of armed men shooting and killing people has become rampant in the country in the last few moths This is ascertained by the Mirema killing that happened in broad daylight, the woman who was robbed at her home, the Embu Mpesa and trader killing and many other cases of armed men attacking innocent citizens.
