Former Kenyas Prime Minister Hon Raila Odinga has informed the government to reopen Keroche Breweries that was closed due to tax issue. Mr Odinga is one of the presidential candidates in Kenya eying to win in the coming August 9 general election. Raila has informed the government through the relevant office to reopen the breweries. This comes barely three weeks after closure of the breweries. The breweries earlier this year was closed but after series of meetings and agreements it was reopened. That was not the end since the company was closed again.
The Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition presidential candidate Hon Raila Odinga has demanded that HE Uhuru as the head of State should order for the reopening of Keroche breweries. The presidential candidate revealed that the state should not close the factory that has employed many Kenyans. He added that HE Uhuru should talk to the relevant authority and order for the reopening of the brewery that was closed due to tax evasion. Mr Odinga has however called for its reopening.
The Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition presidential candidate has demanded that President Uhuru Kenyatta should talk to the KRA authority to reopen the brewery. He said that reopening of the brewery will not be a factor to call “Campaigning for him or the Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition ” but will only be a benefit to the entire nation. Mr Odinga alleged that there were individuals who used to work in the factory for them to gain their daily meals.
