Kericho county senator Aaron Cheruiyot has expressed fear that the Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackhoya might go for a run off. Speaking with KTN News, the senator alleged that Wajackhoya is gaining popularity in Kisumu, Kericho and other important voting regions. Sen Cheruiyot explained that the increasing popularity of Mr Wajackhoya might affect the vote count of areas considered to be DP Ruto's voting block.
The senator added that the popularity of Wajackhoya is slowly diminishing the hustlers nation programs as he (Wajackhoya) has promised that people will engage in the farming of bhag. According to Cheruiyot, this strategy serves as a job creation manifesto and to many youths, such kind of farming will definitely give them a good amount of money.
Sen Cheruiyot says that the popularity that Wajackhoya is gaining can make him courageous enough to go for a run off after the election results is announced. Also in the interview was Lawyer Otiende Amollo who said that the Wajackhoya effect is only felt in DP Rutos camps and soon the DP will feel how Wajackhoya is taking away votes from him. Lawyer Otiende Amollo added that the popularity of Wajackhoya has infinitesimally small impact on the Votes that Azimio La Umoja presidetial hopeful Hon Raila will get.
The two prominent politicians argued that if Mr Wajackhoya will continue to popularize his bid then there is a deep battle in the coming general election. It is therefore clear that the impact of Wajackhoya is now felt in the two major coalitions. Anticipating the possible solutions, Se Aron Cheruiyot said the two known coalitions must adapt a strategy that will curb the attention of their supporters so that they dont get perceived withthe Manifesto of Wajackhoya.
